September in Review!

Whew! This month flew by in a hurry! But I loved every second of it! If you missed anything, here's a little review of September ~

On the blog:
I started off September as I always do with any new month, linking up with Farley for Currently!
We had coffee together here, here, here, and here.

I did a fashion post, highlighting the beautiful Wild Butterfly Boutique necklace I got to review.

I did a book review of one of the books I read this summer, And the Mountains Echoed.

I shared a fun way to keep your chargers unique and fun - adding washi tape to them!

I did a What I'm Loving post, highlighting coffee, fall TV premiers, and life!

And I started a little weekly review called "Here and There", where I post my weekly posts from the blog, and some favorites that I've read that week. Those posts are here, here, and here!

I've loved getting back into the blogging swing, and this has been a fantastic month! Here is what it looked like through the Instagram lens:
I had to do the standard #PSL shot to kickstart the month and season!
I love challenging myself with fashion through the #coasttocoastchallenge!
Here we were going for florals and lace!
I've been swimming a lot for my workouts the past couple months.
I love it!
Here's my "first candle of fall" shot with the yummy Cider Lane!
I discovered this hummus in my fridge the other day, that my parents had got.
And I was blown away by the delicious flavor! It's my new favorite hummus!
You HAVE to try it!
this is the last picture on my feed - and this was also on the bottom
of my last Coffee Date post! It was a great capture that morning :)

So, how did September look like for you? What was your FAVORITE post that you wrote this month? Is there anything specific you would like to see from me in the future?

The Scents of the Season [[BBW Style!]]

As I have made perfectly clear over this last month, I looooove autumn. I love the sights, the tastes, the feelings, and the sounds of this fantastic season, and especially the SMELLS! I have officially worked at Bath and Body Works for 13 months, so this will be my second year of the fall season! I thought it might be fun to share my insights on the intoxicating BBW smells of the season with you all! I realize you may have already discovered some of these for yourself, but I hope you can find some fun new ones, or compare and contrast your favorites with mine!

Body
My favorite new body care fragrance is Amber Blush. It has raspberry champagne, crystallized amber, gardenia, and vanilla suede. It starts off fruity on your skin, then dries to become a cozy and warm floral that is perfect for all that autumn has to offer. My absolute FAVORITE fragrance for body care is Paris Amour, and I like to consider Amber Blush to be Paris Amour's cozier sister scent. If you like fruity or floral scents, amber, or like your fragrance warm and cozy, you definitely have to try Amber Blush!

Hand Soap
We have 3 seasonal collections of hand soap to keep you clean and smelling delightful! My favorite collection this fall is the Autumn in America collection. There are 8 scents from all around the U.S.:
Montana Mountain Air (my fave)
Washington Apple Harvest
Sonoma Vineyard Berries
Heartland Harvest Marmalade
Vermont Sugar Maple
Seattle Hazelnut Latte
Georgia Bourbon Peach
Aspen Autumn Day
They also have a pumpkin hand soap collection and the fresh-picked collection, but the Autumn in America soaps smell so good, and their pictures are so pretty!

Home Fragrance
There are so many delicious options for home fragrance this season! Some of my favorites are:

Cider Lane-- it smells like you are whipping up a caramel apple treat in your oven!
Roasted Pumpkin Butter -- It combines all the amazing parts of autumn- apples, cinnamon, and pumpkins- into one candle! It brings back autumn memories!

Flannel -- so warm and cozy, it incorporates all the woodsy, manly scents into one incredible candle!
Pumpkin Pecan Waffles -- A newbie to BBW this year, everyone who has walked into a BBW store within the past month knows of this mouthwatering scent. We've been burning it in the stores, and always get questions about it! It is like breakfast in a candle. It always makes me hungry! So if you're on a diet, DO NOT BURN THIS CANDLE. Otherwise?! Go for it!

There you have it! My favorites from Fall 2013 Bath and Body Works!

Do we have any favorites in common? What are you favorites from there/elsewhere?! Leave a comment!

Fun for Sunday!

Can you believe that October is fast-approaching?!? It's C-R-A-Z-Y! But I love everything about it! I thought I'd take part in this fun little party, since fall is my favorite season!
I tag anyone who is a lover of all things AUTUMN!

1.  Favourite thing about it? Everything! Apples, pumpkins, crunchy and beautiful leaves, boots and scarves, bonfires, the woodsy smell in the air, etc!

2.  Favourite drink? definitely PSL and chai tea!

3.  Favourite scent/candle? More on this late this week, but my favorite candles this year are Cider Lane, Pumpkin Pecan Waffles, and Roasted Pumpkin Butter.

4.  Best lipstick?  Grape Baby Lips (more like a balm)

5.  Go to moisturizer?  I use the everyday Neutrogena moisturizer with SPF.

6.  Go to colors for the eyes?  With my green/hazel eyes, I like to use purples and browns. My go-to is the NYC palette for green eyes. I switch it up between black and brown liner.

7.  Favourite music or band/singer to listen to?  I am loving The Last Bison. Anything folk-y or indie. I love coffeehouse music!

8.  Favourite outfit to wear?  Dress, Leggings, Boots, Cardi, Scarf..

9.  Autumn treat? anything salted caramel, apple crisp, or pumpkin cheesecake!

10.  Favourite place to be OUTSIDE! Whether going to estate sales on Saturday mornings with a coffee and my mom, or a bonfire at the pumpkin patch with friends, this is my favorite time of year to be outdoors. I love the smells and sights!

Well, those are my answers! I'd love for you to copy/paste and write your answers in to continue the party! Click on the button at the top for more info! And, if you decide to continue the tag, tweet me the link or comment below! I'd love to see what you love about fall!

Let's Have Coffee!

Happy Friday! I hope you have a favorite beverage in hand and are sitting down for coffee with me today!
If we were having coffee, I would share:

~ that I am SO excited to start baking and cooking yummy Fall delights with apple and pumpkin flavors! I've been pinning like a madwoman and I'm ready to eat all things autumn!
some favorites are here, here, and here.

~ I finally found a water bottle I feel like I can use for a while. It's been a long time coming! I had been using a generic one that I got for free at a college event, so I'm excited to have one I actually like! I'm a weirdo when it comes to things like that. My water bottles have to have at least 24 ounces, and I really like the ones with a straw. Also, they have to have a good seal so I can take it wherever and not worry about it spilling or getting stuff in my backpack wet. My ideal beverage holder would be one of those cute mason jar tumblers with the handle and straw, but that's not going to work for me right now. So this is the best I found! I also LOVE the colors-- and I got it at WALMART for under $6! SCORE!

~ I tried a couple methods this week to curl my hair- and they both worked! But the first one, rag rolling my hair, worked way too well! I did several layers of curls, instead of just sticking to one, like the tutorial did, and my hair looked like a bad perm or a poodle! It was CRAZY curled! So I made a messy bun and will try the rag rolling again next week, but not quite so many curls! LOL!
My second method worked so well! I used my 1 inch barrel curling iron, and followed this tutorial, and I had wonderful, natural curls that were perfect!
rag rolls in process!

~ My aunt and uncle took me out to dinner the other night so we could just hang out and catch up! We went to Charleston's, and it was so much fun! AND my mom offered to watch their adorable little boy, Jude, so we got to have some adult conversation, and it was a great night! I'm so blessed to have amazing family!
My night out look, with the second curl method from above!
I love getting dressed up :)

~I won a little contest at work last week, and got to pick out two small candles to take home with me! I ended up deciding on Wednesday, and it was just my blessing, because we got a shipment of small Flannel candles that we hadn't had in store yet! BTW, love the Flannel scent! And I have a fun little post coming up on all my recommendations for Fall Bath and Body Works scents!
~ I know I'm late to the party, but I'm LOVING working out to Katy Perry's song Roar! Oh my goodness, it's been on repeat this week! And I actually started a Pandora station based on that song, and it's been so great to motivate me this week.

What would you tell me if we were having coffee? What tunes have you been jamming out to? What are your favorite scents or recipes for autumn? Any crazy hair stories? I'd love to hear from you!

Linking up with Rags to Stitches for Coffee Date!

Shopping Online! (LOVE IT!)

As a (very) small business owner, the Christmas season approaches earlier for me. In the retail world, Christmas is out by the first week in November. So, being proactive is key for us small business owners! Today I'm going to ask a favor, but will be giving you something in return. I would be so blessed if you would be kind enough to fill out this survey for me. It's very laid back, only answer the questions you feel comfortable enough answering. It's all about online shopping.
In exchange for your thoughtful answers, I will send you a free ad space code to use anytime you please on my blog. I will send this code to ANYONE who submits this survey. And you will make me very happy as well!

I promise I have some great posts coming up!! Stick with me! Happy Thursday!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I haven't done a "what I'm loving" post in a while, and I'm having short-term writer's block this week, for some reason, so let's do this!

I'm loving Salted Caramel White Mochas from Starbucks. Yes. You heard me. WHITE mocha. MIND BLOWN, right?! Oh, and it is loads better than the reg salted caramel mocha. Holy Bananas. I'm in LOVE. Next to try, Pumpkin Spice White Mocha. (Can you tell I'm a white mocha fan?!) Oh, BTW, I tried the new Chocolate Chai, and...not a fan. It's like mixing hot chocolate and chai tea. Not horrific, but I'll have my chai by itself, please.

I'm loving this perfect weather! Warm enough during the day that I can still wear shorts and flip flops, but cool enough at night for a sweater.

I'm loving my clean room! I was off work yesterday and got everything clean! Feels amazing!

I'm loving fall scents at BBW. Seriously, they are amazing this season. I have a post coming up on that soon!

I'm loving bringing my own food to work. WHAT?!? Loving that?! YES. I'm saving money, and eating better. Double win!

I'm loving the invention of allergy medicine. It's saving my life right now!

I'm loving all the new fall TV premieres! The Voice, The Mindy Project, and New Girl are some faves!

I'm loving LIFE!

What are you loving this week?! Favorite Starbucks drink for fall? Do you fall victim to allergies like I do? What is your favorite lunch to take to work/school?

Wednesday I shared an awesome website called Cardstore.com where you can personalize greeting cards and keep it easy for you

Thursday I did a little crafting and personalized my iPhone charger with washi tape

Friday we had coffee and I vlogged again

Jess shared a recipe for delicious healthy brownie-bite truffles! I can't wait to try out her recipe!

Emma from A Beautiful Mess whipped up some homemade PSL Syrup. Again, must try! I love a good PSL, but the cost is just too much for every day. This syrup sounds like the perfect solution!
