Just a Little Bit NUTTY!

For my sister-in-law's bridal shower a couple months ago, we had a "Sweet Love" theme, so, of course, we wanted to have lots of sweet things! I decided to try this Cinnamon-Sugar Candied Nuts recipe, and they turned out delicious! It's a very simple recipe, great if you're busy, or need to make a lot of different things. I love the mix of the sweet, spicy, and nutty flavors that meld together to create a crunch! It also uses brown and white sugar to add a depth to the flavor too. They are the perfect energy-filled snack for on the go, a fun gift, or a easy party food!

For this recipe, you will need:

1 Large Egg White
1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
1/4 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
2 Tsp. Cinnamon
3 Cups of Nuts, you can choose which kinds you love most! I did 2 cups pecans and one cup almonds.

Start by separating your egg for your egg white, and put it in a small bowl. Whisk it with a fork until foamy. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, combine both sugars and cinnamon. Mix well.

Put the nuts in a large bowl and toss them with the egg white. The egg white will help the cinnamon-sugar stick to the nuts.
Then mix in your cinnamon-sugar mixture until everything is well-coated.

Spread nuts onto a cookie sheet that has been prepped with wax paper. I love almonds in this mix because of how much protein they have! Bake them at 300 degrees for 25-30 minutes, stirring at the half way point.
Let them cool (if you can restrain yourself!!). And enjoy! These are DELICIOUS fresh out of the oven, but are definitely just fine at room temperature.

Super easy, right?! And feel free to mix it up with whatever nuts you have on hand. I think this would be delicious with some cashews too! I had some up in Colorado, and they were AMAZING. That's next on my list!!
